Jumping in
What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever done?
For me it’s starting this art brand. Why? Well art is akin to laying your soul bare on a piece of paper - well that’s what it’s like for me anyway. I keep reminding myself I’ve done lots of scary things: become a horse archer, spoken at presentations to hundreds of people, taken on a huge renovation and once I even worked on a project that the CEO had eyes on.
It’s an odd feeling to finally land where you have been planning on landing for some time (about a year). I left my corporate marketing role in late October after feeling like there was something more. Which I understand is an odd feeling to describe to anyone who hasn’t felt it, I almost felt wasted and despite being rather good at my job I wasn’t finding much fulfilment from it anymore.
So many life changes later and I find myself living my dream and I can’t wait to lay my soul bare to you, (just actually share my art).
PS to any artists out promoting their work who are reading this, I take my hat off to you - even with over a decade of marketing experience I’ve found this path more dauting than I’d anticipated.
Until next time, take care,
